Primedic HeartSave myPAD - Compact Fully Automatic AED with Colour LCD Display
The Primedic HeartSave myPAD Fully Automatic AED with LCD Display is one of the smallest fully automatic AEDs available in the UK that includes a full-colour LCD screen and built-in LTE hardware. It measures just 15 x 15cm and weighs 1.1kg, compact enough to fit in a kitchen drawer, a bedside cabinet, or a vehicle glove box, yet it carries a 4.3 inch animated colour display and delivers its shock completely automatically.

In a fully automatic AED, the device does everything beyond attaching the pads. It analyses the heart rhythm, charges, warns bystanders to stand clear, and delivers the shock on its own. For many buyers, particularly those purchasing for a home, for an elderly relative, or for a setting where the first responder may be alone, removing the shock button removes one of the hardest barriers in a cardiac emergency.
If you want a compact fully automatic AED with clear animated visual guidance and the option to add monitoring later, this is the right model. To activate remote monitoring, simply insert a SIM card with an active data plan into the slot behind the battery pack, available through Defib Store.

4.3" Colour LCD Screen
The myPAD Core Fully Automatic guides rescuers through LED icons and audio prompts. The myPAD Fully Automatic with LCD Display adds a 4.3-inch full-colour screen that runs animated step-by-step illustrations alongside every voice instruction.
The colour screen adds visual clarity during the steps before and after, pad placement, CPR, and the stand-clear warning. For a first-time responder under stress, the animated guidance makes the rescue process significantly easier to follow.
What appears on the screen:
- Operation guiding - animated rescue instructions that adapt to the user's pace
- CPR animation - visual guidance during chest compressions
- CPR quality - real-time compression feedback (requires SavePads PLUS CS electrodes with CPR feedback sensor)
- Residual battery - charge level visible throughout the rescue
- Intervention time - elapsed rescue time and progress
- Shock count - number of shocks delivered
- CPR pacing - visual metronome for compression rhythm
- ECG waveform - 1 channel live trace of the patient's heart rhythm
The screen is also what makes the myPAD particularly effective in noisy environments, busy public spaces, machinery areas, sports halls, where voice prompts alone can be hard to hear.
LTE hardware built in- activate monitoring when you're ready
The Primedic HeartSave myPAD Fully Automatic with LCD Display has LTE hardware built in, meaning the radio and connectivity components are already part of the device. To activate remote monitoring, you simply insert a physical SIM card into the SIM slot (located behind the battery pack).
Without a SIM inserted:
- The device functions fully as a defibrillator, no SIM or data plan is needed to deliver a shock
- The myAED Config app connects via Bluetooth for initial setup, language selection, and firmware updates
- Remote alerts and cloud monitoring are not active
When you're ready to activate monitoring, purchase a data plan through Defib Store. We'll guide you through the process; you'll need to share your device's serial number, which is used by the manufacturer to provision a SIM card configured specifically for your device. Once inserted, the SIM automatically connects to the myPRIMEDIC Control cloud platform; no manual setup required.
IP66, drop-tested from 1.6 meters, with Pediatric mode
The Primedic HeartSave myPAD is rated IP66, fully dust tight and protected against powerful water jets. It has been drop tested from 1.6 metres across all sides, corners, and edges. Combined with an operating range of 0°C to +55°C (and the ability to function for at least 20 minutes from an ambient temperature as low as -20°C), this is a device built to be taken outside the office.
At 15 x 15 cm and 1.1 kg, it travels easily to sporting events, outdoor settings, vehicles, schools, and community spaces. Wherever it goes, it is ready immediately.
It is well suited for environments where a standard AED would be at risk, such as climbing centres, trekking groups, outdoor sports events, and remote locations where the device may be exposed to dust, rain, or rough handling. It operates across a wide temperature range and is built to withstand the conditions it is most likely to be needed in.
The device also includes a dedicated paediatric mode. Press the child button before placing the pads, and the AED instantly adjusts to 50 joules, the appropriate energy level for children under 8 years of age or under 25kg. No separate paediatric pads are required; the standard SavePads PLUS electrodes supplied with the device work in child mode. For any setting where children may be present, such as a school, a sports club, a climbing wall, or a family hiking trip, this removes the need to stock a separate paediatric kit.

Primedic HeartSave myPAD FAQs
Is this AED suitable for home use?
Yes, and it is one of the most capable and compact home AEDs available in the UK. The fully automatic operation means any member of the household can use it effectively in an emergency, regardless of training. The colour LCD screen provides animated step-by-step guidance. Its compact size, 15 x 15cm, 1.1 kg, means it can be stored in any space.
Does this AED need an active data plan to function as a defibrillator?
No. Whether or not a SIM card is inserted, the device's operational capability as a defibrillator is completely unaffected. It will analyse heart rhythms, charge, and deliver shocks in exactly the same way regardless of connectivity status. The LTE hardware is built in for optional remote monitoring only; it plays no role in the device's core AED function. The myAED Config app also works via Bluetooth for initial setup with no data connection required.
Can I add connectivity to this device later?
Yes. The device has LTE hardware built in and a physical SIM card slot behind the battery pack. When you're ready, purchase a data plan through Defib Store; we'll support you through the process. You'll need to provide your device serial number, which the manufacturer uses to provision a SIM card configured specifically for your device. Once inserted, it automatically connects to the myPRIMEDIC Control cloud platform. No new device is required.
Connectivity is particularly valuable for Health & Safety managers and facilities managers who need visibility across multiple devices. If your AED fleet is growing, or if you find it increasingly difficult to keep track of whether each device is rescue-ready, battery charged, pads in date, self-tests passing, activating a connectivity plan gives you automatic daily status reports pushed to your phone or email, without any manual checks. You can activate it easily at any point.
Can I use this AED for children?
Yes. Press the child button on the front of the device before placing the pads. The AED immediately sets the energy to 50 joules, appropriate for children under 8 years of age or under 25kg. No separate paediatric pads are required.
Does the Primedic HeartSave myPAD need to be registered?
We strongly recommend registering your AED with The Circuit, the UK's national defibrillator network, at thecircuit.uk. Registration is free and takes approximately 10 minutes. If someone calls 999 near your property, the ambulance dispatcher can direct the caller to your AED while help is on the way.
Is the Primedic HeartSave myPAD one of the smallest fully automatic AEDs with a colour screen?
Yes. At 15 x 15cm and 1.1kg, it is one of the most compact fully automatic AEDs with a colour LCD available in the UK. Most fully automatic AEDs with colour screens are considerably larger devices.
