8 Year LTE Data Plan for myPRIMEDIC Connect
The Primedic HeartSave myPAD Connect is supplied with an 8 year LTE data plan as standard. That plan connects the device’s integrated LTE module to the myPRIMEDIC Control platform, enabling it to transmit daily self-test results, send fault alerts, track consumable expiry, and support fleet management across multiple devices, all via the mobile network, without relying on Wi-Fi.
When that 8 year term expires, the device retains its full defibrillation capability. The LTE connection lapses, and with it the remote monitoring that myPRIMEDIC Control provides. If your myPAD Connect is approaching the end of its original data plan, you can renew it with a new 8 year plan.
Key Features of myPAD Connect Data Plan
- 8 year LTE data connection services package
- One-off cost for the full 8-year term, no annual fees within the plan period
- Connects via the device’s integrated LTE module, no Wi-Fi required
- Daily self-test results are communicated automatically to myPRIMEDIC Control
- Fault alerts are pushed to the app or email if the device flags an issue
- Consumable expiry tracking with advance notification
- Fleet management view for organisations with multiple Connect devices
- MDR approved
- Mobile network coverage is required at the device location
Note: the myPAD is a fully functioning device without LTE. ie, even if your data plan is not active, your device will function properly and perform daily self-tests.
What myPRIMEDIC Control Delivers
Renewing the data plan reinstates the full myPRIMEDIC Control monitoring capability that the myPAD Connect was designed around. The platform provides four core functions:
Daily Self-Test Results Transmitted Automatically
The HeartSave myPAD Connect runs a self-test every day. With an active data plan, the result of that test is transmitted automatically to the myPRIMEDIC Control platform and is accessible via the app or by email. This means you have a continuous, dated record of device readiness without any manual intervention or physical inspection of the unit. For compliance-conscious organisations running regular AED audits, this automated transmission replaces the need for manual check logs on each device.
Fault Alerts
If the device identifies a fault during a self-test, whether a battery issue, electrode pad problem, or hardware fault, an alert is sent via myPRIMEDIC Control. You are notified before the next manual inspection, and before the fault has any opportunity to go undetected. This is the functional difference between passive and active monitoring: the device does not wait for someone to come and check it.
Consumable Expiry Tracking
myPRIMEDIC Control tracks the expiry dates of the battery and electrode pads installed in each connected device. It provides advance notification before a consumable reaches its expiry date, giving time to order and install a replacement before the device is affected. The most common compliance failure in AED programmes is running expired consumables without awareness. Automated expiry tracking addresses this directly.
Location Tracking and Fleet Management
For organisations managing multiple myPAD Connect devices across different locations, myPRIMEDIC Control provides a fleet view: device locations, individual readiness status, and any outstanding alerts across the entire programme. Managing ten or fifty connected devices requires no more manual effort than managing one. This is particularly relevant for councils, NHS trusts, corporate campuses, hospitality groups, and any organisation operating a distributed AED programme.
