ZOLL CPR-D Training Padz (8900-0804-01)
The ZOLL CPR-D Training Padz are reusable training electrodes designed for use with the ZOLL AED Plus Trainer 2. They replicate the physical form and application method of the clinical CPR-D Padz used with the ZOLL AED Plus, allowing training participants to practise correct electrode placement without consuming clinical-grade consumables.
The electrode uses ZOLL's Z-design. A one-piece construction that positions both pads across the chest in a single application motion. Clear anatomical images and a CPR hand placement indicator are printed on the electrode surface, guiding correct pad positioning and reinforcing hand placement during chest compression practice.
An adjustable toggle allows the electrode to be repositioned on the chest to accommodate patients with a larger frame, ensuring accurate placement training across a range of body types.
Compatible with: ZOLL AED Plus Trainer 2 only. These are training electrodes. They cannot be connected to a clinical AED device or used on a patient.
Note: The gel pads must be attached to the electrode before use. They are reusable across multiple training sessions, replace them when adhesion weakens or the pads become soiled. Additional replacement gel pad sets are available separately.

Compatibility Note
These pads are compatible with the ZOLL AED Plus Trainer 2 (part no. 8008-0050-01) only. They are not compatible with the standard ZOLL AED Plus clinical device and must not be used in a real emergency situation. The CPR compression feedback sensor included in the clinical CPR-D Padz does not function in the training electrode; this is expected behaviour; feedback during training is provided by the Trainer 2 unit itself.

Yes. If you already have the reusable electrode assembly, replacement adhesive gel pads are available separately.
Will the CPR depth feedback sensor work on these training pads?
No. The CPR compression feedback sensor built into the clinical CPR-D Padz does not function on the training electrode. This is by design, CPR feedback during training is provided by the ZOLL AED Plus Trainer 2 unit itself, not the training electrode.
How many times can the training electrode be reused?
ZOLL does not publish a defined number of reuse cycles for the electrode assembly. The electrode can be reused indefinitely provided it is in good condition, and the gel pads are replaced before each session. Inspect the electrode before each training session and replace it if the casing, cable, or connector shows signs of damage.
What is the 'Z-design' and why does it matter?
The Z-design is ZOLL's one-piece electrode shape, which allows both pads to be applied to the patient's chest in a single continuous motion. Training with the Z-design ensures that participants develop the correct technique and muscle memory for the actual CPR-D Padz they would use in a real emergency, reducing hesitation at the critical moment of deployment.
